Bhubaneswar: The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Priyanka Gandhi, is scheduled to visit Odisha in March, PCC President Bhakta Charan Das informed.
During her visit, Gandhi is expected to address a major gathering of women.
The Congress party plans to organise women’s meetings across 10 districts,
aiming to strengthen grassroots engagement and empower women in the state.
The visit is being seen as a strategic move by
the party to bolster its presence in Odisha ahead of the upcoming elections
while highlighting key issues affecting women.
Congress leaders said the initiative underscores
the party’s commitment to promoting women’s participation in politics and
public life, encouraging greater involvement in decision-making processes.
