Bhubaneswar: In a bid to enhance governance efficiency, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday handed over 15 key directives to newly appointed Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The instructions aim to achieve the government’s targets over the next two years and strengthen administrative performance across the state.
The Chief Minister stressed that government work
should be guided by priority and merit, with an emphasis on developing a
competent and well-trained administrative cadre. He also highlighted the
state’s goal of moving towards a “mixed economy” model while expediting
industrial development.
Under the directives, the Chief Secretary has
been tasked with filling all vacant positions within two years, taking strict
action against corrupt officials, and closely monitoring the progress of state
projects to ensure timely execution. Furthermore, all official work is to be
conducted in Odia, reflecting the government’s commitment to promoting the
state’s language and culture.
The move reflects the state government’s focus on proactive governance, transparency, and rapid sectoral development, aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision for accelerated progress.
